Foreign Ministers of Tajikistan, India Meet in Panaji

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin had a meeting with Minister of External Affairs of India Subrahmanyam Jaishankar on the sidelines of the SCO Foreign Ministers Council in Panaji.

During the conversation, the current state and prospects for the development of multifaceted mutually beneficial relations between Tajikistan and India were discussed.

The parties expressed their readiness to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries in all areas, especially through the activation of work of such cooperation mechanisms as political and consular consultations, the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation, as well as other formats of interaction in the spheres of security, energy, industry, agriculture, healthcare, and education.

The Foreign Ministers also exchanged views on regional issues and partnership within multilateral formats.
