Turkmenistan is ready to expand the supply of products of the fuel and energy complex, the construction and chemical industries to Tajikistan. This was reported by the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper on Thursday following the results of the talks held in Dushanbe on the eve of the talks between the leaders of Turkmenistan and Tajikistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Emomali Rahmon.


According to the newspaper, the Turkmen side, in addition, is ready to expand the supply of food industry and agricultural products, the pharmaceutical industry and other goods, as well as to consider the prospects for developing a mechanism for future mutual supplies of agricultural products.


Berdimuhamedov also offered to provide state assistance in attracting Turkmen and Tajik companies to participate in joint investment projects carried out in the territories of the two countries. In particular, the head of Turkmenistan said that it would be expedient to substantively consider the possibilities of cooperation in the textile industry.


Berdimuhamedov is on a state visit to Tajikistan on May 10-11.
