More than 105,000 individual entrepreneurs are employed in the tourism sector, the National Statistical Committee.
120,500 legal entities and individuals working in tourism are registered in Kyrgyzstan. Among them are enterprises for the production and trade of tourist goods, the excursion services, restaurants, places of accommodation for tourists.
The majority of the companies (23,400 entities) is located in Bishkek. 20,000 entities are located in Osh region, 17,900 in Chui region and 16,000 in Osh.
A total of 15,200 hotels, restaurants and recreation centers are registered, most of which are located in Bishkek (6,200 subjects) and the resort area of Issyk-Kul region (2,000 subjects).
